How do I rent a photobooth?
It's super simple! If you want to book with us, just let us know via our contact form (Request Pricing) or over the phone (708.792.3567) and we will email you our standard rental agreement for you to fill out, sign and email back to us with your payment and/or deposit**.
(**all wedding/party rentals booked 12 weeks out from the date require full payment with your rental agreement. A 50% deposit is required if over 12 weeks from the rental date with the rental agreement with final payments due 21 days prior to your rental date. All corporate/business/organization/non-profit rentals require full payment with rental agreement).

How Do I Pay?
To secure your booking in a timely fashion we will send you a Square Payments Invoice to safely and securely pay online.
What does it cost?
How do we determine our rates? Your personalized rate is determined by these factors:
Once we know all these things we will present you with your personalized rental rate.
- The date of your event: for example, is your date on the middle of the week in February or is it the Fourth of July?
- The type of event: is it a wedding, a small birthday party at your home, a corporate event or a convention with thousands of people?
- What is the venue location? Is it in a big downtown hotel or one out near the airport? An event space or at your home? For example if your event is at a big downtown hotel on New Years Eve your rate will probably be be higher than if your event is in the party room of a suburban restaurant in March).
- How many guests do you expect? 50? 100? 200? We need to know this or else the booth will run out of paper if you tell us that only 50 people are coming and 300 people show up.
- How far do we have to travel to get there? (We will travel outside of our standard delivery area which is generally 20 miles from our downtown Chicago studio so inquire and we'll let you know).
Once we know all these things we will present you with your personalized rental rate.
How many hours is a photobooth rental?
For weddings and parties the standard is 3,4 or 5 hours. This is plenty of time for people to have a blast in the booth (think 8pm to 11pm or 8pm to midnight - these are typical times). The rate for 3 hours is always going to be less than 4 or 5 hours.
If you have other needs we will definitely work with you (it's not all Weddings and Parties at 312photobooth!).
For instance we recently set the booth up to run all day without an attendant present at a big ad agency downtown so all the employees could get their photos taken for a fun internal project. We've provided the booth for many functions where no attendant is required at all (and one of our booths was even been used as a prop in a movie). Just tell us what you need and we'll work with you!

I saw a cheap photobooth deal online. Is 312photobooth expensive?
Honestly, we don't think so.
Remember, you get what you pay for and we provide a well-established, no worries for you, premium photobooth service. You will not find a good photobooth on Groupon.
There are a lot of so called “photobooth” companies around Chicago now that advertise very low rates. Buyer beware! In many instances this is usually a wedding DJ who added a “photobooth” (a box on a stick, in a tent, with a backdrop - NOT a real photobooth) to his DJ services to drum up some extra business. We say let the DJ play the party hits all night long and leave the photobooth fun to a proven professional with a great track record!
Remember, a photobooth is something you may rent only once in your life - and it is usually for a very important event (like a wedding) so don’t scrimp on cost! Get the best and rest easy knowing you provided your guests with the best experience. Our photobooths are classic, reliable and all are hand-built in Chicago by a small, dedicated crew of talented craftspeople who love everything about photobooths and photography and it shows.

After I rent my photobooth, what happens next?
Depending on when your event is, we’ll reach out to you with an email prior to your date (usually three weeks out) to finalize what you want on your photo strips (font style, text and any artwork). We'll ask where the booth will be placed at the venue and any other logistical questions we might have. We’ll then mock up a sample photo strip for your approval and from there on just know that we’ll be at your venue when we say we will and that you don’t have to worry at all about the photobooth rental and you can think about all the other big things!
Should I get the scrapbook Service?
If this is your wedding, the answer is most definitely YES, get the scrapbook! It is totally worth it!
This might the only time in your life that all these people will be in one place at the same time and nothing is more fun than going through your scrapbook in the years to come and seeing everyone you know having a blast in the photobooth on your special day. We’ve been told by many brides and grooms that the scrapbook is the item they return to the most after their wedding day.
Your attendant will be putting the scrapbook together throughout the night as people jump in and out of the photobooth. Your attendant will encourage your guests to sign the book and you will recieve your completed scrapbook full of all your friends & family’s fun photos and hand written notes at the end of the evening. With most of our packages you will also get copies of all the digital photos taken (a download link will be sent to you a few days later) so if you want to create your own online gallery to share of all the photobooth photos you can do so!
