What is the difference between your True Vintage and Digital-Retro booths?
Our True Vintage photobooths are the original models from the 1960’s and 1970’s that develop a 4-pose photo strip using actual photographic paper and chemistry. You might remember seeing them at the Roller Rink, Woolworths, or an arcade. In the vintage machines, there is literally a mini photo lab inside of the photobooth! Our Digital-Retro photobooth is modeled after our classic vintage booths, but use moden digital technology to take photos and produce strips. All of our booths produce excellent quality photos, no matter what the medium.
Should I choose vintage or digital?
Both types offer high quality images and papers that will last a lifetime. Our True Vintage photobooths produce one of a kind images on traditional photographic paper. The Digital-Retro booths have the option for duplicate prints, custom layouts and an online web gallery. If you are a photobooth connoisseur, you may prefer one of our True Vintage booths. If you have your heart set on a web gallery, custom layouts, text, or having a copy of every image, Digital-Retro might be your best choice. Can I get a sample of the photobooth photo strips?
Yes. Many examples can be found within our site. However, if you'd like a physical sample, please call us at 312-278-1144, or email. (Please be sure to include your mailing address.) Once you see how amazing the photos are, you’ll know our booths are a must have at your event!
How many photos can we take in an hour?
Our True Vintage booths can take 1 strip of photos one right after the other. It takes about 3 minutes to develop each picture, but there can be a total of 7 developing at once. Our Digital-Retro booths can print a 4"x6" strip in about 30 seconds. Guests can continue to take photos while the previous session is printing.
Will my guests have to put money in the photobooth?
Unlimited photos are included in our package rates so guests enjoy without having to pay extra. All of our booths are easy-to-use with a simple push button to start taking pictures.
Does your photobooth make doubles?
With our True-Vintage booths each photo strip is a one-of-a-kind! You can always shoot a second strip to match the first. Or we provide scissors at our scrapbook table so you can clip and share the photos. With our Digital-Retro booth, doubles can be made during the event, or after upon request.
Do the booths print in color or black and white?
With our True Vintage booths we only offer B&W photos. With Digital-Retro, you can choose color, B&W or Sepia.
What do you require from our event space?
We will contact your event location ahead of time to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We will also work with your event’s manager to coordinate all necessary details for the event.
Here’s what we use to qualify an event space:
- Doorways must be at least 7ft. tall, and 35 inches wide.
- Space is at ground level with no stairs. (For True Vintage)
- If there are stairs – then we require access to a freight elevator. (For True Vintage)
- A 110 volt/ 15 amp power outlet (standard outlet).
- Access to standard sink/water. (For True Vintage)
- Adequate space for the photobooth & scrapbook table.
- Access to the event space at least 3-5 hours prior to the event start time.
- Adequate truck and/or delivery access areas.
- If you think your event space has a particular logistical challenge, be sure to talk to us about it. We'll make the necessary arrangements to ensure successful delivery!
How big is the photobooth?
Our True Vintage photobooths are approximately 68 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 62 inches long. They also weigh +/-800 lbs. Yes, 800 lbs! Our professional staff is trained to transport the booth to your party. Our Digital-Retro booth is the same size, but much lighter!
Why should we rent from 312photobooth instead of going with other national photobooth rental companies?
At 312photobooth we work with you personally every step of the way – there are no subcontractors here. We are an independant locally owned business that takes your event as seriously as you do. We will schedule your event, manage the details and be your professional attendants. We own, maintain, and service all of our photobooths while offering excellent local customer service. Your event is as important to us as it is to you!
